I am sorry I haven’t blogged for a while
I have been trying to update my blog and keep up with my facebook fan page. I have realized that most people tend to track my facebook page more than my blog. Because of this I have decided to post my sessions to my facebook page instead of here on the blog. This will allow me to reach more people, share the photos I have taken with my clients, and allow family/friends to view their loved ones photos quickly and easily. I will keep my blog just in case I decide to use it on occasion. For now, please go to my facebook page Loree Alayne Photography and “like” my page in order to receive information on my latest sessions, contests, classes, and specials. Thanks so much!!!
Lux | Indianapolis Children’s Photographer
March 21, 2012I met this little guy when he was only a year old :) I took his pictures at Nurture, a children’s store on Mass Ave, several years ago. His parents called me because he was turning three and they wanted pictures of Lux experiencing his first gumball. They told him he could have his first gumball when he turned 3. This was the big day :) He was so cute!!! His favorite color is green and he was lucky enough to get a green gumball :) After his gumball we headed out to Mass Ave for some pictures with his b/f/f (his sweet dog). We had a great time!! Enjoy his pictures :),

I received the following email a few weeks ago. God is so good. He is constantly reminding me of His hand in my life. There have been many opportunities over the past few years that have come to me without me doing a single thing to make them happen. These are opportunites I would have never dreamed of. God is so much bigger than me. I am so thankful for this life He has given me!!!
Here is the email:
Loree,
Hi! My name is Amy Shepherd, publisher of online magazine, SouthernChildMagazine.com. Southern Child is a mission just as much as it is a magazine. Kelly (my business partner) and I, firmly believe God pulled us together to take care of the orphans. We feature Children in Waiting in every issue and thus far have been instrumental in numerous adoptions!
Next, we believe we are to ‘Publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell all of Thy wonderous works.” (Psalms 26:7) My Paw Paw used to say, “Lulu, the devil doesn’t always come carrying a pitchfork and wearing horns, more often he comes in a little red party dress.” We like to put God in the little red party dress by putting a pretty cover on our magazine and filling it with God:) As of last night, we still had not found a cover for our March issue. Kelly and I have spent hours upon hours looking for this cover. When I went to bed last night, I realized I had not prayed about it, so that is just what I did!
This morning this link was in my box from Kelly: http://loreealaynephotography.com/blog/?p=633 Wondered if you may be interested in sharing this photo for our March cover….in a sense, clothing God for our March party?
Warmest,
Amy
Southern Child Magazine
** Special thanks to Ava, the little girl on the cover, and her mom for allowing me to use this photo
It has always been one of my favorites!!
Farrow Family | Indianapolis Children’s Photographer
February 23, 2012

I was going through sessions from last year and realized that I never posted this one. So here it is :)
This if the Farrow family :) Amy and I graduated high school together and cheered together at Avon. We had a lot of fun together and have a lot of memories from way back!!
Brian and Amy have two beautiful girls. I could seriously take them home with me. Both girls are sweet, kind, respectful, and helpful. I look forward to their session every year. I know they are going to make a difference in this world.
I love their pictures. They have such a passion for life and they know how to laugh and have fun.
Enjoy their pictures!!!
Happy Valentines Day!!
February 14, 2012
I am a bit behind on my blog. I have a new facebook fan page and have been busy running contest’s etc… over there. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everything so at times certain things get neglected (like my blog).
Today I want to cherish all the beautiful things that God has given me :) Valentine’s Day reminds me of God b/c. . . . ”We love because He first Loved us” That pretty much sums it all up.
God loved me so much that He sent His one and only son to die on the cross in my place. He did that same thing for you.
I have much to Love today. Six beautiful, healthy, full-of-life children. One incredibly amazing husband (who loves me like no other). A beautiful family to share life with. Friends that light up my days (in good times and in bad) and a God that Loves me unconditionally now and forever more.
Happy Valentines Day!!

Super Bowl in Indianapolis | Indianapolis Event Photographer
January 31, 2012

The Super Bowl is in my hometown this year - Woot Woot!!! It has been exciting to see how our entire city has been transformed by this one event.
Brian and I have enjoyed the festivities and fun that the Super Bowl has brought our way. We went to the Rock-n-Worship Road Show concert on Saturday at Conseco and it was completely packed out!!! Not one seat left in the venue!! We then headed out to Super Bowl Village. It was pretty cold that night so we didn’t get see everything we had hoped to. We headed back downtown with some of my photography friends last night.
We had a blast last night! The weather was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the people were awesome to watch. We hit Monument Circle to see the giant Super Bowl sign and video show and then headed to the Village to see a light show, fireworks, and a free concert. We had fun listening to a cover band first (the crowd had a ball dancing to “Thriller” and then the Village People :) As you can see from my pictures the entire road was crowded with people.
The ice-sculptures were amazing (as you can see) and made me stop to thank God for my mom who is a breast cancer survivor. They do these sculptures everyday so I felt blessed to be there on a day that they did the breast cancer awareness ribbon (very cool!!). We then headed down the street and ran into the mayor (we look like best buds dont we?). Next we visited ESPN Live. It was awesome to see how they set up an entire studio right on Pan Am Plaza!! We were excited to actually be on ESPN for a small blurp (you know, jumping up and down and acting crazy in the background - lol). After that we watched people zip-lining down Georgia street. It looked like so much fun!! We really wanted to do this but the tickets were all sold out. People actually get in line daily at 7am to wait for them to hand out tickets at 3pm - YIKES!!
On our way to the car we spotted the Giants football team!!! Of course I had no idea they were the Giants except that they were HUGE and people were asking Eli to sign everything they had on them :) I managed to get some fun pictures of the guys on the team (Can you name the players in the pictures?).
We had a great time and it was great to see our city so full of life and positive energy. Hoosiers know how to make people feel welcome!! They are saying that our city has been the best host ever!!! Yeah!! Go Indianapolis!!!
Apple Orchard | Indianapolis Children’s Photographer
January 24, 2012

I haven’t posted these from October but I love them so I thought I would share. I have always loved going to the apple orchard. I love the smells, the colors, the hayride, the fresh apple cider (the whole scene!!). I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that my kids love it too.
Brian and I took the kids out to pick apples, look at pumpkins, ride the hayride, etc… They had a great time. We let the kids pick out a bottled soda from the ice chest at the orchard. I think this was their favorite part (it was the old fashioned kind like faygo, IBC rootbeer etc..). My next post will feature pictures of the two of them enjoying their pop and being silly
Anyway, It was a great day so I wanted to share a little piece of our family with you
Enjoy!
Zachary Family | Indianapolis Children’s Photographer
January 17, 2012

I still have about 10 sessions from last year that I have not posted to my blog. The Zachary Family is one of them :)
I loved this session. It was a country shoot and we had a beautiful day for pictures. The kids have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. I love how they each have unique and different personalities. Each one of their kids is beautiful, sweet, respectful and full of talent (each in different ways).
I always enjoy my time with them. Enjoy their pictures!!
Loree Alayne Photography now offering Classes!!!
January 6, 2012

I am excited to announce that Loree Alayne Photography is now offering classes!!
My clients, friends, and family have been encouraging me to do this for quite some time. I have mentored one on one in the past but have never offered classes until now.
I am passionate about photography (of course you already knew that!!). My business is not just about photography, it’s about using my gifts/talents to better the world around me. My business has been about God and His people from the beginning. Every photo shoot is a reminder of God’s great love for me and for the people I photograph. I feel completely blessed to do something I love and get paid for it!! Through photography I have been able to help numerous families/organizations that are in need. Yes, even photography can be used to impact others in a big way!
If you know me you already know that I am mom to six kids and wife to one amazing husband. I have an amazing God story of how this came to be (but that will be for another day). My time with my family is extremely important to me. I can’t be a successful photographer if I can’t be a successful mom and wife. This is why I offer limited photography sessions and ultimately limited classes. The good news is that I will put my heart into making your class a success. I am excited about this new venture and I am excited to spend time with people that love photography as much as I do.
My style is hands on. I will not tell you how to work your camera, I will show you. I won’t tell you how to run a successful business, I will give you the tools you need to do so. I won’t run a photo shoot where I do all the shooting. You will be shooting as I tell you what settings to use. The atmosphere will be casual and light hearted. I will have snacks and drinks because I love snacks and drinks - lol. I will answer any questions you have along the way and show you how to improve your skills.
Business 101: This class will teach those that are thinking of starting a business or those that have already started a business how to take it to the next level. Running a business is more that just taking pictures and making money. If you don’t have the right tools to make your business a success you will end up tired, frustrated, and ultimately burned out. This class will help you make your business legal (tax id etc..), give you information on where to print, what products to offer, packaging, how to price your prints, how to market your business, how to get the clients you are looking for, social media and more. I will also give you a copy of a client information sheet and ordering sheet. Keeping your business organized for tax time will be another topic for discussion. This class is jam packed with information that is vital to any photographer looking to make photography a career. I will also give tips on balancing your business and family time so that your family stays first on your priority list
This class will be held at my home and will run from 10am-noon. Cost is $150. To reserve your spot for this class please send me an email with your name, email address, and phone number along with the class you plan to attend. You will also need to send a check to Loree Alayne Photography at 7933 Buckthorn Ct. Avon, IN 46123. Once I receive your check I will send you confirmation and directions to the class.
Photography 101: This class is for anyone that owns a DSLR camera and wants to know how to use it. Having a fancy camera is great but if you keep it on automatic mode your pictures will look just the same as a point and shoot. I will teach you how to take your camera off auto and get into manual mode. This will allow you to get the look you want. We will go over the technical details as well as the practical. This class will be hands on as I talk you through your settings and even have you practice during the class. The class will be informative, hands on, and most importantly FUN!!! I will have give-aways and snacks/drinks

Photography 201: This class is for those that know how to use their DSLR camera but want to improve their skills in taking pictures. This class will be on location and will include an actual photo shoot. I will be shooting alongside you. I will tell you what settings I am using, give you tips on lighting, and show you how to get kids to look natural and unposed. This class will include a small amount of homework. I will ask you to email me one or two photos from our session for critique. I will let you know how to improve the shot and give you feedback on your photos. I will also ask you to send a few of the images to the parents of the models used in the shoot.
After the shoot is over we will head to a nearby restaurant to talk over the photo shoot and answer any questions you may have about settings, locations, posing, post editing, etc… Dinner is included in the cost of your class.
